Dear Sir/Madam,

On behalf of the MUNISH 2010 Board of Directors, it is both an honour and a pleasure to invite you and your students to the 20th Anniversary session of MUNISH.

This year’s conference will take place from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th November.

A conference run by youth, for the youth of today to participate in, and for the youth of tomorrow to benefit from, MUNISH is the embodiment of Model United Nations. It is an admirable opportunity to draw together conscientious, committed young citizens of the world to engage in the exchange of inspiring ideas. An eclectic and international mix of Delegates, Chairs, Press Officers, and Advisors congregate at MUNISH for a weekend jam-packed with debate, hard work and fun.

The theme of this year’s conference is: “21st Century Migration”. In today’s constantly evolving, multi-cultural society, migration is at the fore. Humanity’s movement never ceases; be it through immigration, emigration or forced expatriation. The Special Conference on Human Trafficking addresses aspects of relocation by means of illegal coercion.

As a THIMUN affiliated conference, MUNISH endeavours to uphold the highest standards of debate. We would like to encourage more experienced students to apply for a place on our Advisory Panel on the Question of Congo.

At this year’s conference we will be introducing a concept new to MUNISH. Alongside our three GA committees, Special Conference, Advisory Panel and Councils, we will be running a simulation of the International Criminal Court. The ICC offers students the unique experience to take on the roles of judges, prosecutors and defendants in a criminal justice trial. At MUNISH 2010 the case under discussion will be that of the Prosecutor vs. Omar Hassan Ahmad Al Bashir, President of the Republic of Sudan.

The MUNISH press team welcomes applications from students looking to gain valuable experience in journalism. For more information, please see the attached letter from the Head of Press.
